Moontower Comedy and Oddity Festival announces additions, including Mary LynnRajskub, Nikki Glaser and lots of locals
The Moontower Comedy and Oddity Festival has announced additions to their already amazing lineup, inching closer to that final 60+ performer roster. Taking place April 25-28 at 12 venues around town (with headlining shows at The Paramount), Moontower is an eagerly-anticipated festival taking huge steps towards cementing Austin’s spot as a top comedy destination.
The latest lineup includes Mary Lynn Rajskub (from 24), Moshe Kasher, Aaron Aryanpur, Nikki Glaser, and (former Funniest Person in Austin and current New Yorker) Lucas Molandes, plus The Divorce Show, a Gotham Comedy Club mainstay hosted by Barry Weintraub.
The list also includes more than a few local names, including two more former FPIA winners — Bryan Gutmann and JR Brow — and two runner-ups — Chris Cubas and Ramin Nazer. You’ll also be able to catch Kath Barbadoro, Danny Palumbo, John Tole, Jimmie Roulette, Scott Hardy and Matt Sadler, all of whom often kill it at weekly shows like Cap City’s Punch! and the Velveeta Room’s Thursday night open mic, and represent the growing Austin scene on Moontower’s stages.
If you haven’t gotten your Moontower badge yet, don’t worry, there are still some on sale. Single show tickets for events taking place at The Paramount will be available starting Feb. 23.
