Princess Diana still rules
Why don't royal lovers love Kate Middleton? Not close to the fairest of them allin new survey
The fact that Princess Diana, killed 14 years ago yesterday, is still high on British people's list of favorite royals is none too surprising.
What is surprising is that new addition Kate Middleton scores low—very low.
A recent Skype poll actually asked Brits which royals they'd most like to "have a natter with" —a more sophisticated version of the beer-with-Dubya American phenomenon some years back (natter actually means to have a chat).
Behind Diana were Prince William, the Queen, Henry VIII, Queen Victoria and Prince Harry, with Middleton coming in at a low seventh place with just four percent of the vote.
British folk would rather natter away with Henry VIII? He of guillotine-happy fame? At least, for Kate's pride's sake, Camilla ranks worse.
Although Kate seems lovely, her low ranking might be attributed to Diana's reputation as a princess of the people, in contrast to Kate's preference to keep life as William's girlfriend turned wife exceedingly private.
