Avoid these downtown Austin streets during the Cap10K
A huge chunk of downtown Austin will be blocked off on Sunday, April 12 for the annual Statesman Capitol 10,000.
Whether you're heading out to cheer on determined runners or you're simply trying to avoid the traffic, here's a comprehensive list of the planned street closures throughout the weekend. Note: The finish line and post-race party are located at Auditorium Shores.
Congress Avenue Bridge between Riverside Drive and Cesar Chavez Street
Sunday, April 12 from 3 am until 10 am
Congress Avenue - between Cesar Chavez and 11th streets
Sunday, April 12 from 7 am until 10 am
Cesar Chavez between Brazos and Lavaca streets
Sunday, April 12 from 7 am until 10 am
11th Street between Lavaca Street and San Jacinto Boulevard
Sunday, April 12 from 7 am until 10 am; Note: One eastbound lane will remain open between Brazos and San Jacinto
Second through 10th streets between Colorado and Brazos streets
