CultureMap is looking for wonderful and wacky Austin weddings to feature
Whatever the etiquette is for recounting your wedding, CultureMap Austin wants more details. We want to hear about the dress your mother-in-law chose, the best man's toast, and exactly what was on the menu down to each layer of cake. After all, Austin is one of the best places in the country to get married.
Our Real Weddings editorial series this spring will feature real-life weddings from Austin couples, as well as stories with tips and resources for planning a dream wedding around town. That's where our recently-married readers come in.
If your wedding has taken place since January 1, 2023, please send us a message. We're interested in showcasing weddings that took place in Austin, its suburbs, and the Hill Country, at any budget, in any style. (Of course, Austin loves a weird wedding, so we're not just looking for formal, bride-in-white-ball-gown affairs.)
- Did you take photos at an iconic Austin location?
- Did you have a fun shotgun wedding or elopement?
- Did you enjoy a quick country retreat?
If so, we hope we can help you reminisce and share your story. Here's some additional criteria for editorial consideration:
Please be sure your photographer will allow photos to be published. You'll also need to supply a list of your vendors. Weddings must not have appeared previously in an editorial publication (a photographer or wedding planner's blog is okay).
Be sure to send us the wedding couple's names, event location, date, vendors, and some of your favorite details so we can get a conversation started. Don't forget to include best email address and phone number so we can get in touch if your wedding is selected for a feature.
Congrats, you lovebirds!
