Quick — can you name another movie theater chain that boasts as loyal a fan base as the Alamo Drafthouse's almost cult-like faithful? It’s pretty lucky to have such devoted patrons, even when things got a little rocky after the menu change. Now the Drafthouse is making it a little easier for those customers to pay for those weekly quote-a-long tickets.
On Tuesday, the locally based chain launched a brand new rewards program, Alamo Victory, in its Austin market. The program will eventually roll out to other Alamo Drafthouse markets as well.
If you’re someone who catches screenings of The Big Lebowski every week or spends the entire weekend watching new releases, Alamo Victory might be handy for keeping change in your pocket while also scoring some cool swag. And it's totally free, which is pretty cool, too.
There are no points to keep track of, either, making the whole experience efficient and streamlined. By logging in to the Drafhouse site with a Victory profile for tickets or simply telling a box office attendant that you are a member, you stay eligible to receive offers for everything from free movie tickets, food and beverage rewards, invitations to sneak previews, exclusive screenings or other special events, T-shirts and DVDs.
Each reward is sent as a surprise to customers, meaning that any day could become a mini-Christmas morning. No matter your level of activity, every member will at least receive two special offers every year, plus a free movie ticket on your birthday. No matter how lonely you are in real life, at least the Alamo will remember your special day.
