CultureMap skates into the holidays with festive Rooftop Rink at Whole Foods flagship
'Tis the season for holiday fun, and CultureMap is spreading extra cheer in Austin with the Rooftop Rink at Whole Foods Market, presented by Frost Bank.
Join us at Whole Foods Market's flagship store for ice skating al fresco in the heart of downtown Austin, all winter long. The rink opens to the public November 23 and runs through January 20, 2020, meaning there's plenty of time to enjoy this family-friendly holiday tradition.
We'll kick things off with a grand opening celebration on Saturday, November 23, complete with a ribbon cutting ceremony, performances by Austin Figure Skating Club, and live music from the Paul Val Band. To help get you into the holiday spirit, there will also be free ornament making hosted by Brico Craft Studio and cookie decorating by Proper Bites, and you can warm up with complimentary hot beverages and s'mores from Huckleberry Hospitality and signature treats from Fluff Meringues.
The fun doesn't stop there. The Rooftop Rink is open daily from 10 am-10 pm (check the schedule for special holiday hours), with more family-friendly activities throughout the season.
On select Mondays, join Frost Bank for Community Skate Nights, from 6-8 pm, where 50 percent of ticket sales will be donated to local nonprofits like Central Texas Food Bank; I Live Here, I Give Here; and more to be announced.
The CultureMap Rooftop Rink at Whole Foods Market is open to all ages. Tickets can be purchased online in advance for $12 or $15 onsite. Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance for a selected time slot; each ticket includes skate rentals.
Visit RooftopRink.com for more details — and we'll see you on the ice!
