KUTX Anniversary Show
KUTX 2nd anniversary concert features huge headliners and local heroes
It's only been around in its current incarnation for two years, but KUTX is already a major player in the local music scene. It should come as no surprise that the nonprofit radio station is celebrating its second birthday with an impressive lineup.
"Hard to believe it’s only been a couple of years, and as any good two-year-old would, we want to have our cake and eat it too, so we’re throwing another birthday party," said KUTX.
Jenny Lewis, tUnE-yArDs and hometown hero Shakey Graves are all slated to perform at Bass Concert Hall on Saturday, January 31 at 7:30 pm. Tickets for the anniversary show range from $59.50-$150 and go on sale on December 19 at 10 am here. The radio station notes that members of KUTX will receive an email detailing how to purchase advance tickets as well as VIP packages.
All profits from ticket sales goes back to KUTX and its work supporting Austin artists and Texas music matters.
"Our focus continues to be on delivering the music that's made here and played here," said Matt Reilly, KUTX program director, in a press release. "Whether that's an Austin-based band, or a national act making an Austin tour stop. Add to that our music hosts' personal connections to the local music scene and their ability to handcraft their sets make for truly exciting radio that resonates with Austinites."
