GEARHEADS UNITE
COTA fuels up Austin with return of popular Cars and Coffee showcase
Fuel up on caffeine at Austin’s first Cars and Coffee showcase of the year at Circuit of the Americas (COTA). The popular exhibitions are back with a special incentive for show cars at their March 12 event. This is one of the track's several recurring events series that gets people to the track for low-stakes, affordable entertainment, like the recently returned Bike Night.
Every month, rain or shine, hundreds of gearheads and enthusiasts gather at COTA to admire some of the state’s most beautiful, powerful, and exotic cars. Attendees will get a chance to look at their fair share of American muscle, JDM cars, racecars, classic automobiles, and many more. The event is free for spectators, who can park in Lots C and D for free, or Lot A with a $10 registration for show cars.
The March 12 meetup will feature a new element for show car entrants: a voucher for one free admission to the Super Lap Battle at the track. The Super Lap Battle is an annual, Super Bowl-esque "time attack challenge" where racers compete for the best lap time around COTA's 3.4-mile track.
Also making its debut this year is a new for-sale lot near COTA Karting for spectators interested in shopping for a new daily driver or show car.
COTA’s schedule for Cars and Coffee is as follows:
- March 12 – Super Lap Battle
- April 30 – Chin Track Days
- May 28 – Monaco GP Watch Party & Ride Smart
- June 18 – Father’s Day
- July 16
