Americana festival near Austin finalizes lineup with Wild Child and more

Austin's popular Old Settler's Music Festival has wrapped up its final lineup for 2025. The 28th annual festival will take place April 24-27 in Dale, Texas, about 45 minutes south of Austin. Leading the lineup are headliners Wild Child, Watchhouse, The Devil Makes Three, and Sierra Hull, among many others.
Old Settler's is locally famous for its emphasis on local artists, although plenty of recognizable names from all over make the lineup exciting for all. Thanks to these hometown ties and its woodsy location, it ends up being one of Austin's most laid-back festivals that people travel to year after year.
Wherever they're from, the acts selected generally represent bluegrass, folk, and Americana. It's not quite a country festival, but it's certainly something that makes sense for the 145-acre ranch it's hosted at.
The final lineup is as follows:
Thursday, April 24
- Katie Shore
- Tony Kamel & Kym Warner
- Steel Betty
- Sister Sadie
- Wild Child
Friday, April 25
- Valley Flower
- Harvest Thieves
- Grace Rowland (of the Deer)
- Fennario Flats
- Jeff Plankenhorn
- Del Castillo Trio
- The Travelin’ McCourys
- Watchhouse
Saturday, April 26

Aside from the music, there will be kid’s activities like a Youth Talent competition, food vendors, and partially electrified campgrounds. Attendees can park and onsite, although some might prefer a hotel or house rental in Lockhart or Luling.
Tickets (starting at $79 for a single day of general admission) are available at oldsettlersmusicfest.org. Kids 12 and under can get in for $5.
