If you attended this year's CultureMap Austin Tastemaker Awards, you might have spied a red welcome mat and larger-than-life photo of the city's famous Bloomhouse decorating the VIP area.

That's because Lodgewell, the Austin rental company, was onsite registering curious foodies to win a one-night stay at the whimsical property, of which it is the exclusive host.

Lodgewell founder Chereen Fisher knows a thing or two about awesome events — she first ran a successful catering company for a decade before selling it to start Top Trip Rentals, honing her hosting skills and refining the artistry of hospitality over the last 15-plus years before rebranding as Lodgewell.

Now she and her team manage a curated collection of homes and retreats for unforgettable stays and events.

"Each home has a name, story, house cocktail, playlist, and personality — much like the people we host," says Fisher.

From complimentary early check-in or late check-out to local welcome eats and drinks in the “Feastwell” bin and comfortable linens and towels, Lodgewell follows up and follows through every step of the journey.

Besides The Bloomhouse, which was just named one of the world's most mind-bending homes by Architectural Digest, some of the homes Lodgewell manages include Falling Leaves Estate, an architectural masterpiece that's ideal for private parties and weddings. Another is La Fortuna, an 11-acre retreat in Dripping Springs that includes an A-frame cabin, three-bedroom house, and fully decked-out, air-conditioned tipis. Think of it as the best backdrop for a wellness or corporate retreat, family reunion, or even solar eclipse viewing party.

All are welcome at the Lodgewell Presents Event series, which run from mastermind weekend workshop retreats to live speaker panels, book signings, and intimate house concerts, all open to the public.

Inspired by the success of its first-ever unofficial SXSW activation — Lodgewell Presents: House Of Humans, which featured storytelling from entrepreneurs, influencers, musicians, documentary filmmakers, and more — Lodgewell plans to expand on what it calls "Grown Up Storytime."

Through collaborations with local chefs and mixologists, each event will feature custom food and drink creations intended to pair with the evening's theme and each of the stories told.
