"Offbeat" and "off-the-wall" fringe theater makes its return to Austin for the 29th season of Frontera Fest. The five-week event at Hyde Park Theatre will showcase new dramatic, politically-aware works from emerging playwrights of Texas and the greater Southwest.
The Paramount Theatre presents The Princess Bride: An Inconceivable Evening with Cary Elwes
Fans of the cult classic film The Princess Bride can enjoy a special screening followed by a discussion with star Cary Elwes at the Paramount Theatre. Elwes will share stories from the set, secrets about the film, and more burning questions. Showtimes are scheduled through January 20.
ACL Live presents Kool & The Gang in concert with Zach Person
Funk music legends Kool & The Gang return to Austin for a special live show at ACL Live at The Moody Theater. The band, best known for hit songs like “Celebration” and “Get Down on It,” makes a stop in the city in support of their 2023 album, People Just Wanna Have Fun. Local blues guitarist Zach Person will perform as a special guest.
