Famous boot company selects stylish location for first Austin storefront
Domain Northside is getting more fashionable by the minute. The latest retailer to join the fold is The Frye Company, which will open its first Austin store on Friday, September 30.
It's the second Texas store for the footwear and accessories brand that's famous for well-crafted boots. The 3,000-square-foot space will celebrate the brand's rich heritage — it has been around for 153 years — while paying homage to the spirit of Austin.
Custom guitars from Austin-based Moniker Guitars will be showcased throughout the space, notes a release. And the store will celebrate Austin's music heritage with a vintage Jukebox by Wurlitzer, which will hold a collection of vinyl.
But onto the shopping. The Domain Northside storefront will carry Frye's signature footwear and accessories for men, women, and children. Retail exclusives — hats, ponchos, scarves, and belts — will also be available.
Additionally, the store will feature the newly launched Modern Icons Collection, described as "an evolution of Frye’s originals and embodiment of timeless American style that has outlasted trends." The new collection features six footwear styles for men and women, ranging from a men's western roper to a suede women's riding boot.
The store, located at 11701 Domain Blvd., joins a slew of other high-end retailers at Domain Northside, including Kelly Wynne's recently announced brick-and-mortar, also slated to open September 30.
