KVUE — Crews have broken ground on a new high-rise that will be in the Rainey Street district of Austin. The building will be 30-stories tall between Driskell and Davis streets, where there are currently two parking lots.
The building will be called "The Quincy," and it will feature retail, office, and residential spaces. The ground level will be the retail section, with separate residential and office lobbies.
The building will have seven floors of parking, 19 residential floors, three floors of office space, and the top floor will be an indoor/outdoor sky deck overlooking Lady Bird Lake.
The new high-rise is expected to open in 2021, bringing the first building to the Rainey Street district that will offer retail, office, and residential uses all within one building.
