In April, plans for the tallest building in Austin were unveiled. Now, we have more details about The Independent, a 58-story structure that will be synonymous with luxury living in downtown Austin.
This week, the luxury condominium project released renderings of its interior spaces. In addition to sneak peeks at residential units, the renderings showcase such amenities as The Independent's dog lounge, a fitness center overlooking the city, and a children's playroom.
"The Independent will be one of Austin’s most diverse condo towers," said Perry Lorenz, principal with Constructive Ventures, in a release. The unit options range from 675-square-foot one bedroom condos to 3,485-square-foot three bedroom condos with studies. Thanks to The Independent's point tower design, all units boast floor-to-ceiling windows — and unparalleled views of the city. Those views come at a cost: prices for the 370 units range from more than $300,000 to upwards of $3 million.
"The site is located a block off Cesar Chavez along the banks of Shoal Creek, offering direct and immediate access to the trails. Our residents can walk outside their home and immediately be on a trail system that connects to Lady Bird Lake, the University of Texas, the new medical school, the pedestrian bridge, Zilker Park, Barton Springs, the boardwalk and much more," said Lorenz.
Floor plans and more details on the new skyscraper are available on The Independent's website.
