In 2017, the city will welcome Austin Proper, a 32-story hotel and residential project slated for the 2nd Street District. Ahead of its opening, enjoy an exclusive sneak peek inside the anticipated project.
Renderings of the decked-out interior come courtesy of acclaimed designer Kelly Wearstler, who will capture the "eclectic soul of Austin culture through a rhapsody of vibrant color, raw texture, and spirited materiality," says a statement.
Joining Wearstler on the project is Austin-based McGuire Moorman Hospitality (Jeffrey's, Perla's, Elizabeth Street Cafe). The esteemed group will helm Austin Proper's dining destinations, which have not yet been disclosed.
Austin Proper will offer one- to three-bedroom residences ranging from 850 to 2,800 square feet. One- and two-story penthouses (up to 6,500 square feet) will also be available in the uppermost floors. There will be 99 and 247 hotel rooms.
Residents and hotel guests will have access to a poolside restaurant, spa, fitness center, coffee shop, and in-house dining options. Exclusive amenities like the heated rooftop pool, sundeck, outdoor kitchen, and private clubhouse will be open to residents only.
Austin Proper residences are currently on sale through the DEN Property Group. A complete gallery of renderings is expected in mid-January.
