Big news for those who frequent Burnet Road: Three of Austin's hottest eateries are headed your way. On Tuesday morning Endeavor Real Estate Group announced that Barley Swine, Bufalina Due and Lick Honest Ice Creams are opening new locations in its soon-to-open shopping center at 6555 Burnet Road.
In preparation for its new tenants, the 14,232-square-foot center is undergoing a major facelift to update its 1970s facade — and fast. All of the restaurants plan to be open by fall of 2015.
Chad Palmatier of Lick Honest Ice Creams says the beloved sweets purveyor hopes to open its north location before summer officially begins. "We are crossing [our fingers] hoping that we can be up and running in early May," he said in a release.
Bryce Gilmore's highly acclaimed Barley Swine plans to open its new locale in late summer or early fall, "depending on the kindness of the city," he added. "We're shooting for fall, assuming things go well with the city, of course," echoed Steven Dilley of Bufalina Due.
The three hot eateries join a host of restaurants on booming Burnet Road. The Peached Tortilla's brick-and-mortar, Taco Flats and Fork and Vine on Anderson Lane are among the latest spots to call the corridor home.
