Recipe for Romance
Austin's 2 most romantic restaurants include downtown darling and east side gem
Need a reservation suggestion this February? OpenTable has released this year's list of the most romantic restaurants to coincide with the Hallmarkiest of holidays — Valentine's Day. Based on reviews from OpenTable diners, two Austin establishments ranked among the top 100 most romantic places to eat across the country.
Even on a list drenched with Parisian-esque names, the French-inspired laV stands out. Lauded for its divine entrees and extensive wine list, the luscious ambience was also named as one of the most attractive aspects of this sweet East Austin spot. After all, who can compete with decadent chandeliers, fabulous fare and amazing interiors?
That would be the other Austin restaurant on the list, Truluck's Seafood Steak & Crab House. Truluck's downtown location is a quiet reprieve from the bustle of downtown Austin. Here you can enjoy some of the best seafood catches while sitting across from a catch of your own. (And, of course, you know what they say about oysters and aphrodisiacs.)
Other Texas restaurants with a recipe for romance include the French Room (Dallas), Spindletop (Houston), Chez Nous French Restaurant (Humble), Vintage House Restaurant at Messina Hof (Bryan) and Republic of Texas Bar & Grill (Corpus Christi).
