KVUE -- Austin's cycling community met with law enforcement agencies Friday to discuss ways to make the city's streets safe for bicyclists.
The group Be Kind to Cyclists held a meeting outside the Travis County District Attorney's Office. They're asking for the Austin Police Department and the district attorney's office to work with them to bring change and create consequences for the people who hurt or kill cyclists.
"I'm asking for more value to be placed on a human life and for people to be held responsible for their actions, and that's just common sense. Enough is enough," said cyclist Katie Anderson.
