New nonstop flight from Austin to Memphis takes off with super-cheap fares
Put on your blue suede shoes: Allegiant Air is launching nonstop flights between Austin and Memphis, Tennessee this fall. The service, announced Tuesday, begins October 1, 2015.
Service from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport to Memphis International Airport will be available twice a week. Introductory fares are available for as low as $48 one way on the Allegiant Air website.
"Allegiant is very pleased to continue growing in Austin with the addition of nonstop service to Memphis," said Allegiant Travel Company's Jude Bricker. "Austin has been an exceptional fit as a destination city in the Allegiant network, and we look forward to bringing even more visitors to Austin while offering local travelers new, low-cost access to Memphis."
Allegiant currently offers nonstop service from Austin to Las Vegas, Nevada; Cincinnati, Ohio; and Orlando, Florida. The new flight to Memphis marks the 42nd non-Texas city with nonstop service from ABIA.
