First Look at Hotel Emma
Soon-to-open Hotel Emma is the perfect excuse for a San Antonio escape
Now that the highly anticipated Hotel Emma located in San Antonio's trendy and historic Pearl Brewery is set to open November 12, we'll be reserving a room immediately.
Hotel Emma promises a luxurious yet unpretentious stay in one of its 146 rooms. The decor is reminiscent of the boutique Highline Hotel in New York City, but with more vintage elements and Texas flair. Thanks to the New York-based design team Roman and Williams who decided to make over the 19th-century building, Hotel Emma is an absolute masterpiece. Plus, the location doesn't get any better, sitting next to Pearl shops, restaurants, and the River Walk.
The locale, courtyard, and chic interior with charming rooms, suites, cellars, and private rooms for entertaining is equally as impressive as the collection of culinary gems Hotel Emma has to offer.
The main event is the hotel restaurant, Supper. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Supper has a large dining area, patio, and private dining room. The menu — created by Chef John Brand, formerly of The Little Nell in Aspen and San Antonio's La Mansion del Rio and Mokara Hotel and Spa — showcases seasonal and approachable cuisine. Think anchovy beignets, smoked duck chowder, bronzini, roasted root vegetables, and venison loin.
The buck doesn't stop there. Hotel Emma is also unveiling a 19th century-inspired bar, The Sternewirth, boasting classic and creative cocktails, a global wine list, and craft beer. There's also a notable food menu with tasty bites like beef jerky, smoked dates, beef tartare, and venison meatballs.
Need to grab a few goodies and groceries for your San Antonio stay? Larder is Hotel Emma's upscale food store filled with Texas-sourced selections including house-cut meats, prepared goods, wine, beer, and coffee for guests and foodies looking for a taste of luxury. The only problem with Hotel Emma is that you'll never want to (or need to) leave the premises.
Enough said. Pack your bags.
