ready for takeoff
Austin lands new nonstop flights to favorite Florida destination
A favorite Florida vacation destination will be just a nonstop flight away from Austin in 2025. Delta Air Lines has announced plans to launch nonstop service between Austin and Jacksonville, Florida next spring.
Notably, this marks Austin's only nonstop option to the Florida city, which is a popular vacation destination known for its 22 miles of beaches. Tickets for the brand-new route are available now at Delta.com.
Service begins May 7, 2025, and will be available once a day between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and Jacksonville International Airport, notes a release. Flights will be operated by SkyWest, one of Delta's regional partners, on its 76-seat Embraer 175.
“This is another exciting expansion of Delta’s nonstop services in Central Texas,” says Ghizlane Badawi, AUS CEO, in the release. “We are excited to add another new destination for both business and leisure travelers to enjoy. We can’t thank Delta enough for their continued investment into our community.”
Last month, Delta announced plans for five new nonstop routes from Austin in 2025: Panama City, Florida; Tampa, Florida; Memphis, Tennessee; Indianapolis; and San Francisco. Those new routes are poised for takeoff between March and June 2025.
