Frontier flies Austin to 2 new nonstop destinations on the East Coast

Frontier Airlines added two nonstop routes to its low-cost offerings on May 22. From Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS), the new routes are to Miami International Airport (MIA) and Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). Both operate three times a week.
Frontier is offering special rates to promote the new routes: $49 to Miami and $129 to Philadelphia. The deal ends at 10:59 pm Central on June 7. Flights must be booked for May 30 through August 18, and all at least seven days in advance.
“These new routes to Miami and Philadelphia are the latest in our rapid growth in Austin, as we offer area consumers ultra-low fares to a wide variety of top destinations,” said vice president of network and operations design Josh Flyr in a press release. “We are redefining ultra-low cost air travel, providing more comfort and convenience without compromising the affordability we’re known for."
The airline boasts a number of changes it calls "The New Frontier," with upgraded seating offering extra leg and elbow room, plus a guaranteed empty middle seat, in the first two rows; unlimited companion travel for Elite Status customers; and First Class seating on every flight.
The routes to Miami and Philadelphia were announced in February 2025. Other new destinations for the airline in 2025 are Austin to Orlando (MCO), Chicago (ORD), Cincinnati (CVG), and Phoenix (PHX).
