Ron Paul announces debut date for his very own news channel
Regardless of political affiliation, everyone loves to complain about a bias in the mainstream media. Of course, people usually throw these charges at news channels that disagree with their own political leanings while simultaneously taking comfort in media sources supporting their own views.
Liberals and conservatives have had their own havens of political bias for years, but soon libertarians will have a channel geared especially toward them.
Naturally, Ron Paul is leading the charge. Dubbed the Ron Paul Channel, the online news source launches August 12, according to the channel’s social media outlets. The channel is set to release videos and related programming several times a week and will likely feature plenty of appearances by the retired U.S. representative and presidential candidate.
The Ron Paul Channel will be available to watch in high definition on any web-connected device, but the content will be exclusive. Viewers have to subscribe at a cost of $9.95 per month in order to watch Paul along with his special guests.
In a press release, Ron Paul explained why he believes now is the right time to launch his own brand of news.
“Americans are tired of the games and the lies of today’s media,” he said. “Imagine this: no censors, no barricades, no statists. We will be able to engage viewers directly on subjects that matter most to them, from finances to civil liberties to foreign policy.”
By using the Internet as a medium for his message, Paul continues his commitment to spreading the “Ron Paul Revolution” through grassroots efforts that have earned him a major following among those who believe in small government.
Supporters can currently sign up for updates and content previews before the channel debuts next week.
