If it seems that your inbox has been overloaded with Evites of late, you're not imagining things. Austin has been declared a top party city in the country by Evite in a data review that analyzed the habits of users in 39 cities.

Austin ranks No. 3 on the list of the Top 10 U.S. Party Cities. We're third for "Party Animals," cities with the most "yes" RSVPs, and "Weekend Warriors," the cities that party hardest on weekends. Austin recorded 706,253 "yes" RSVPs in the past year and scheduled 48,526 weekend bashes via Evite.

Houston is the party capital of America, ranking first in both categories. The city had 815,290 "yes" RSVPs and more than 55,000 party hosts invited guests to weekend events. Chicago ranks No. 2 overall.

Rounding out the top "Party Animal" cities are San Diego, New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, San Francisco, Washington, and Dallas. Other top scorers in the "Weekend Warrior" category are San Diego, Atlanta, San Jose, New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Washington, and San Francisco.

“As many of us get ready for the busy holiday party season, these top party cities have clearly been training for this moment all year long,” said Victor Cho, Evite CEO, in a statement.
