Popular Austin day spa will pamper Westlake with tranquil new retreat
Stressed-out Austinites in Westlake will soon have a new spot to recharge and reset: Spa Sway, a top-rated Austin day spa and wellness retreat, will debut a new location at 701 S. Capital of Texas Highway in the Village at Westlake shopping center.
According to a release, it will open in summer 2024.
Founder Rei Leigh Harmer opened Spa Sway in 2014 to provide a luxury spa experience at an accessible price point, she says. But she is sparing no expense when it comes to the new space. Spa-goers can expect a rich, minimalist modern aesthetic designed by award-winning architecture/design firm Sixthriver.
āImproving your sense of wellbeing is a necessity, not just a luxury,ā Harmer says in a press release. āWe are looking forward to creating lasting self-care routines for our clients in West Austin.ā
Spa Sway (currently a wellness hot spot in The Domain) offers a full menu of services customized and performed by an expertly trained staff.
In addition to popular services like massages (such as the highly recommended Himalayan Salt Stone Massage), facials and body treatments, the new Westlake location will feature an expanded menu of medical-grade offerings. Think: laser treatments, injectables, ablative treatments, and peels.
Memberships are available, as well.
Spa Swayās Signature Facial ($119 for 50 minutes; $159 for 80 minutes) is an affordable, entry-level service touted for any skin type; however, it's anything but basic. The facial unclogs pores, hydrates and refreshes, and ultimately provides a healthy, glowy visage.
All of Spa Swayās facial packages can be enhanced with add-ons such as peels, oxygen infusions, light therapy, and facial massage.
The spaās CBD Therapeutic Massage ($140 for 50 minutes; $185 for 80 minutes; $250 for 110 minutes) claims to mitigate stress and anxiety, reduce inflammation and chronic pain, and even improve sleep quality. Hemp and CBD products are among the many products available in Spa Swayās retail space.
Spa Sway also offers an array of menās spa experiences, such as the The Manly Retreat, a 110-minute package ($210) that includes a deep tissue massage, gentlemanās facial, hot stones treatment, and a relaxing aromatherapy session.
According to the website, Harmer founded Spa Sway after a car accident left her unable to walk; massage therapy aided her recovery greatly, she says. Now giving back is part of Spa Sway's ethos.
Among its philanthropic and civic initiatives, Spa Sway offers a 10 percent discount to teachers, military, EMS, fire, and police officers.
