Don't Miss Your Shot
Broadway phenomenon Hamilton is finally coming to Austin
Whether you made the pilgrimage to see the show in New York City, obsessively listen to "My Shot" before every big meeting, or just pay attention to pop culture, chances are you know the Tony Award-winning Hamilton is the hottest ticket on Broadway — and it's coming Austin.
On February 20, Lexus Broadway in Austin presented by Texas Performing Arts released details for its 2018-2019 season, and in addition to Hamilton, the seven show lineup includes an array of Broadway classics and new smash hits.
Kicking off the season from October 23 through October 28 is The Play That Goes Wrong, one of the longest running shows on both Broadway and London's West End. It will be followed by Andrew Lloyd Webber's Love Never Says Die, the sequel to another Broadway phenomenon, Phantom of the Opera. Love Never Says Die runs November 27-December 2.
Waitress, based on the indie film of the same name, features a score by singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles. The show examining motherhood, friendship, and well-made pie runs January 22-27, 2019. It will be followed by the beloved musical Anastasia, which runs February 12-17, 2019.
Rounding out the season are three Broadway smash hits: Fiddler on the Roof (April 2-7, 2019); Cats (May 7-12, 2019); and, of course, Hamilton which rounds out the season with a lengthy run from May 28, 2019 to June 16, 2019.
All shows are performed live at Bass Concert Hall, and season tickets are on sale now with prices beginning at $224. Tickets to individual shows will be announced at a later date.
