Rock legend Steven Tyler selects intimate Austin venue for solo tour

Steven Tyler is back in the saddle again: On Wednesday, the rock legend revealed dates for a one-of-a-kind tour, including a stop at Bass Concert Hall on July 26.
The Aerosmith frontman is branching out on a solo venture across North America called Steven Tyler ... Out on a Limb. Tyler is touring small, more intimate venues in 19 lucky cities.
This is a different experience than Tyler's usual stadium gigs. The intimate "Out on a Limb" show — which debuted in New York City on May 2 as a fundraiser for his philanthropic effort, Janie's Fund — is a "musical journey that spans his career."
"Tyler gets up close and personal like never before as he shares his real-life heartaches, trials, and tribulations, from his piano upbringing to worldwide fame and life with his band," says the concert announcement.
The tour kicks off in early July and wraps in September. Following his Austin performance, Tyler will grace the stages of the Revention Music Center in Houston on July 29 and Dallas' Music Hall at Fair Park on August 1.
Tickets go on sale Saturday, May 14, at 10 am through Ticketmaster.
