Broadway in Austin presents The Illusionists
Magic takes center stage at the hands of world-class illusionists at Bass Concert Hall. Witness magicians skillfully perform feats of escape, weapon mastery, trickery, and more at this critically-acclaimed spectacle. The show runs through Sunday.
Ingrid Michaelson in concert
Singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson comes to Stubb's for one melodic night only. Known for hit songs like "The Way I Am" and "Girls Chase Boys," Michaelson is visiting Austin in support of her newest album, It Doesn't Have to Make Sense.

Sound on Sound Fest
The highly anticipated Sound on Sound Fest makes its debut at Sherwood Forest Faire in McDade, Texas. Headliners include big names like Phantogram, Explosions in the Sky, Beach House, Run The Jewels, Purity Ring, and Young Thug. Three-day and one-day wristbands are still available, as are camping, parking, and shuttle passes. Don't miss the inaugural year of this far-out music festival, which runs through Sunday.
This annual 10-day festival in New Braunfels features a variety of Oktoberfest-style entertainment. Whether it's chowing down on brats, dancing along to the polka bands, or enjoying a Bavarian beer, there's something for everyone at this German celebration, running through November 13.
Saturday, November 5
Austin Celtic Festival
Celebrate the rich culture of Ireland and Scotland at the Austin Celtic Festival at Fiesta Gardens. The family-friendly event, which observes its 20th anniversary this year, includes music, storytelling, and traditional Highland games. The event runs through Sunday.
Texas Book Festival
Bookworms across the Lone Star State are invited to attend the Texas Book Festival, Saturday and Sunday. The free fest will bring in hundreds of talented authors from across the country to the State Capitol and other local venues. You are also invited to join the city's literature lovers at the Sixth Annual Lit Crawl on Saturday evening.
