Thanksgiving may be set to dominate the remainder of November, but that’s not stopping Austin’s bustling music scene. So, if you need to get out of the house, there’s plenty of local shows to catch. See the highlights here.

Dayglow – November 21-23
With his hit 2024 self-titled album in tow, indie pop act Dayglow will play three shows across Austin this weekend, each in an increasingly larger venue: The Parish on Thursday, November 21; Scoot Inn on Friday, November 22; and Stubb’s on Saturday, November 23. Support for each night is Teenage Dads, and tickets range from $32-$43.

Bill Ball 7 at Sagebrush – Friday, November 22
Sagebrush will host Bill Ball 7 this Friday, November 22. The annual party, which is put on (and headlined) by the art punk band Big Bill, will also feature Fat Tony, Sailor Poon, Jonny Jukebox, Specific Thing, Gummy Fang and Chucky Blk. Tickets are $20 in advance, $30 the day of. By the way, the event is sporting a prom theme, so be sure to get decked out.

A Benefit Show For Leslie Sisson at Hotel Vegas – Sunday, November 24
A benefit show for Leslie Sisson (of Moving Panoramas), who was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, is set to happen at Hotel Vegas this Sunday, November 24. Matthew Logan Vasquez, Moving Panoramas, and Booher will perform, and there will be a silent auction as well. Tickets are $26.77.

Dale Watson at Continental Club – Thursday, November 28
In need of something to do on Thanksgiving Day that doesn’t involve having to watch the Dallas Cowboys play the New York Giants? Then get yourself to Continental Club for a rollicking evening of country music with Dale Watson. Tickets will be $15 at the door.

Wild Child at Scoot Inn – November 29-30
Indie pop act Wild Child will be putting on a special pair of shows at the Scoot Inn on November 29 & 30. The former will feature songs from the band’s first three albums – Pillow Talk, The Roundaround, and Fools – and the latter will have selections from their two most recent efforts – Expectations and The End Of The World. Tickets for each show are $37.50 or you can buy a two-day pass for $65.

World Aids Day Benefit at Hotel Vegas – Sunday, December 1
A World Aids Day Benefit is in place at Hotel Vegas for Sunday, December 1. The show, which will benefit Vivent Health, will feature performances by TC Superstar, Pelvis Wrestley, and Angel Fur. There will be a $15 suggested donation at the door.
