Pelvis Wrestley at Cheer Up Charlie’s – Wednesday, February 14
In need of a last-minute Valentine’s Day plan? Pelvis Wrestley have you covered at Cheer Up Charlie’s tonight with the release show for their eagerly awaited new album, ANDY, Or: The Four Horsegirls Of The Apocalypse. Como Las Movies and Con Davison will open for the indie/country/pop act, and there will be other fun activations, like a (love) confession booth and the Club Cherub Night Market.
Large Brush Collection at The Ballroom – Thursday, February 15
Just before Large Brush Collection head out on tour in support of their recently released debut album Off Center, the cleverly named folk band will play a show at the Ballroom this Thursday, February 15. Support for the evening includes Little Mazarn and Skateland. Tickets are $12.
The Western Civilization at The 13th Floor – Friday, February 16
Head to the 13th Floor this Friday, February 16, to ring in the release of indie rock act The Western Civilization’s new album, Fractions Of A Whole. The lineup for the evening also includes Nervous Bride and DJ Czech One. Tickets are $15.50.
Candy Riot at The Parish – Saturday, February 17
If you’re looking to dance, then be sure to attend Candy Riot’s release party for their debut album, Nico Loretto, at the Parish this Saturday, February 17. Dream 2 Dream and Sex Pop round out what’s an all-around synth-leaning lineup. Tickets are $12.
White Denim at The Mohawk – Saturday, February 17
Originally set at Radio East, White Denim’s first local show in quite some time will now happen at the Mohawk this Saturday, February 17. The longtime rockers will be joined by Nolan Potter’s Nightmare Band. Tickets for the show are $25.
The Infinites at Radio East – Friday, February 23
Indie rockers The Infinites will put out their anticipated sophomore album, Archetypes, on February 16, and then follow it up with a release show at Radio East on Friday, February 23. The Stacks, Dorothy’s, and Gummy Fang will all serve as support for the evening. Tickets are $18.40.
Austin Music Awards at Antone’s – Sunday, February 25
Get yourself to Antone’s on Sunday, February 25, for the 42nd Annual Austin Music Awards. As always, the list of performers is massive, featuring the likes of Walker Lukens & Friends (featuring Ben Kweller), Sabrina Ellis, S.L. Houser, DAIISTAR, Kalu James, Corey Baum, and a whole lot more. Tickets are $20 and 100% of the proceeds will benefit the SIMS Foundation.
