Latino comedy takes center stage at Hyde Park Theatre. The Latino Comedy Project is celebrating its 25-year anniversary for the second weekend. The three-day event will feature evenings of nonstop sketches and comedic performances by talent including Sandy Avila-Ramirez, Omar Gallaga, Raul Garza, Karinna Perez-Cantú, Chuy Zarate, and others. Environmental Science Institute presents Hot Science — Cool Talks: Breaking the Universe

Marcia Ball's 75th Birthday Blowout
Musician and resident Austin superstar Marcia Ball celebrates her birthday with three days of live music from local talent. Shows are scheduled at three local music venues, starting with a setlist at Sagebrush featuring Marcia’s band and Grammy-winning artist Terrance Simien and the Zydeco Experience. David Spade: Catch Me Inside
Actor and comedian David Spade makes his way to The Paramount Theatre as part of his current stand-up tour. He’s best known for his time on the cast of NBC’s Saturday Night Live and also for his Emmy-winning role on the sitcom Just Shoot Me. A limited number of tickets are still available.
Ballet Austin presents Poe / A Tale of Madness
Experience the world premiere of Ballet Austin’s new production at The Long Center for the Performing Arts. Audiences will embark on a ballet celebration of the life and haunting works of author Edgar Allan Poe with live accompaniment by the Austin Symphony Orchestra. The new production also features an original score by award-winning composer, Graham Reynolds and libretto by Shawn Sides. Showtimes are scheduled through March 24. Tickets are available now.

Dougherty Arts Center presents Ziesook You: Scent of Austin opening day
The beauty of Austin is in full bloom at the newest Dougherty Arts Center exhibition. Local artist Ziesook You shares her series of multi-layered portrait photographs adorned with the natural flora and fauna of Central Texas. Following opening weekend, the exhibit will remain on display through April 20. Admission is free and open to the public.
