New Inside the Design Studio series allows access into the minds of Austin'sgreat designers
Lytle Pressley Contemporary announced Tuesday, January 3 that they will be hosting a new series of personal interviews with a live studio audience in a casual "cocktails and conversation" format to be filmed monthly at their West Sixth location in Austin.
Inside the Design Studio, cleverly named after Bravo's popular biography series Inside the Actor's Studio, will follow the familiar interview format to evoke the honest responses and insights of some of Austin's most influential designers including contemporary artist Roi James, landscape architect James David and architects Dick Clark, Larry Speck, Juan Miro and Miguel Rivera.
Each of these men have significantly altered the texture of our city's visual landscape, from major downtown megaliths to personal homes and galleries. Hearing first hand about their inspiration for innovation is the goal of this very personal approach by Lytle Pressley.
The series begins with Dick Clark in the studio on Jan. 12, interviewed by Lytle Pressley himself. Larry Speck joins the audience on Feb. 9, Roi James is the guest on Mar. 15, Rivera and Miro on Apr. 12 and James David on May 10. Aspiring designers and design enthusiasts are welcome to join the audience and ask questions. The event is free, but seating will be limited, so RSVPs are strongly encouraged.
