Launch your green business with the help of SXSW Eco's expanded Startup Showcase
Looking to launch your clean, green business to success? It would behoove you to get involved with SXSW Eco's Startup Central— a bigger, better Startup Showcase.
At Startup Central, fledgling businesses are invited to meet with the entrepreneurs and investors "shaping our future," says SXSW Eco.
It's a one-day, one-stop-shopping event where participants can attend panels, meet-ups, workshops and networking events — or flex their muscles at the highlight of the conference, an investor pitch competition featuring top startups from around the world.
Confirmed judges for the pitch event — which is divided into three categories: Green Tech, Clean Web and Social Impact — include Austin's Bob Metcalfe and venture capitalists from Kleiner Perkins and Khosla Ventures. Last year, Kansas City-based PlanetReuse Marketplace took home the grand prize for its success in raising awareness of and access to reclaimed building materials nationwide.
Innovators are invited to apply to participate in the SXSW Eco Startup Showcase through May 31. For a CultureMap's review of last year's event, click here.
