Our waistbands are never going to catch a break. First Shake Shack announced that its South Lamar location will open on Tuesday, and now In-N-Out Burger is planning a third Austin eatery.
Eater Austin reports that In-N-Out Burger is working on a North Austin location at 12425 North IH 35, near the Tech Ridge Center and Parmer Lane. According to city records, the project is scheduled to begin in 2016.
The California-based burger chain's first spot in Austin proper, located on Airport Boulevard, opened in late 2013. In March, In-N-Out Burger confirmed plans for a second location on South Lamar Boulevard in a vacated Wendy's building. An opening date has not yet been announced.
The new North Austin location will be the fifth In-N-Out Burger in Central Texas. Round Rock and Cedar Park have already gone animal style.
