Downtown Dining Update
Popular Austin wine bar opens new location in the heart of downtown
There's a new destination for fine wine and good eats in downtown Austin. West Austin favorite The Grove Wine Bar has opened a new location on West Sixth Street.
Located in the Cirrus Logic building, the posh spot promises a great wine list and a splendid view of Shoal Creek. While wine is certainly the name of the game here, the menu of small plates and entrees makes The Grove a top-notch option for downtown dining.
The Grove opened on July 1 in the space formerly operated by fine-dining establishment Restaurant Jezebel, which shuttered in February. The Grove's sister business, Lola Savannah Coffee Lounge, is operating next door in the former Tapasitas restaurant space. The upscale cafe specializes in craft drinks and latte art and is open for a morning caffeine fix or a post-dinner night cap.
This is the third location of The Grove in the Austin area; the first two are in Lakeway and West Lake Hills. The new downtown spot comes with one major perk for patrons: free valet parking.
