Wood you believe it?
Buzzworthy coffee and beer bar chops into East Austin with new location

One of Austin’s favorite hangouts is yelling timber on a brand new location. In a release, Buzz Mill announced its Govalle outpost at 5012 E. Seventh St. is officially opening on October 31.
Guests will find a similar experience to the original late-night haunt off Riverside Drive. Woodsy elements set the motif, from signature lumberjack-themed murals to knotty log walls. Taxidermy forest animals frolic about for selfie opportunities.
The East Austin Buzz Mill will also continue to feature a mini food truck park, including two debut concepts. Joining the French-inflected Austin Rotisserie will be barbecue trailers PlowBQ and JNL Barbecue.
PlowBQ is an offshoot of Plow Burger, the plant-based mainstay parked at the original compound. JNL — which will first operate as a pop-up before establishing regular hours — comes from Franklin Barbecue alum Ben Lambert and wife Sarah. Menus will be revealed at a later date.
The drink program will feature a variety of local craft beer. Infused spirits like apple cinnamon whiskey and strawberry coconut rum will be the base of crowd-pleasing cocktails. As always, coffee will keep the nighttime crowds buzzing.
With the addition of the Seventh Street location, Buzz Mill will operate three area storefronts. Although a planned South Austin outpost was axed in August 2016, the San Marcos concept has been going strong since September of that year.
