Order's App
Facebook's newest feature brings Austin restaurants directly to your door

Facebook has battled an increasingly crowded field of competitive platforms in recent years, but its newest offering may give the social media giant a leg up on the competition: the ability to order food within the app.
The new feature centralizes ordering from national delivery services like Delivery.com, DoorDash, ChowNow, Zuppler, EatStreet, Slice, and Olo, as well restaurants with in-house ordering systems such as Wingstop, Papa John's Pizza, and Chipotle. It is available on Facebook via iOS, Android, and desktop.
To begin, click on Order Food under the Explore section of the menu. A list of restaurants organized by location will pop up which can be sorted by cuisine type and price point. Links to an eatery’s Facebook page are, of course, provided, allowing users to see reviews and browse photos of the cuisine.
Once a restaurant has been selected, hitting Start Order will link Facebook to the ordering system. If a restaurant works with multiple delivery services, customers can select the service they prefer. Customers can then use an existing log-in or sign up for the service without leaving Facebook.
A quick browse through the Austin offerings shows a diverse range of options from national chains like P.F. Chang’s to local favorites like South Congress Cafe and Michi Ramen. Facebook says it's working to add more partners as the feature rolls out.
