Sandwich Tour of America
Austin lunch favorite slings America's best sandwiches for a limited time
There are some ridiculously good sandwiches across America. Come November, Austinites can get a taste of the country's best sammies without having to leave the city limits, thanks to one tasty promotion.
Noble Sandwich Co. is participating in the inaugural Signature Sandwich Swap. Each week in November, Austin's premiere sandwich restaurant will feature offerings from other top shops around the country.
The promotion kicks off Monday, November 2 with a stacked corned beef and pastrami monstrosity dubbed Jon & Amy's Double Dip from Zingerman's Delicatessen in Ann Arbor. Next up is the barbecue pulled squash sandwich from Charleston's Butcher & Bee, followed by the zucchini Parmesan sub from No. 7 Sub in New York City. The cross-country sandwich adventure ends with the Oregon albacore tuna melt from Portland's Bunk Sandwiches.
In return, these four restaurants will be serving Noble Sandwich Co.'s scrumptious seared beef tongue sandwich. The savory creation — which comes with red pepper relish, smoked green onions, and garlic mayonnaise — is available at both Noble locations in Austin.
The best part of the Signature Sandwich Swap isn't even the sammie selection — it's the charitable element. For every signature sandwich sold, $1 will be donated to Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry campaign.
