Break a Leg
The world is a stage at East Austin's pop-up Broadway Sing-Along Bar

All seats face the stage, so it's the center of attention.
Take center stage at Austin’s latest pop-up bar, a Broadway-themed experience that gives guests the chance to live out their theater dreams. The Broadway Sing-Along Bar is opening for a limited time in Wanderlust Wine Co.’s space at 702 Shady Lady in East Austin.
From June 6 to August 3, the bar will host nightly sing-alongs and weekend drag shows for the musically inclined. Guests can dress up as their favorite Wicked character to deliver a performance of "Popular," sipping on themed cocktails between songs, like the Greatest Showman Spritz or the Hamilton Highball.

Starting at 9 pm every night, the Broadway Sing-Along Bar will host red-curtain karaoke nights, where guests can belt out songs from their favorite musicals, including The Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, Hamilton, and Chicago. An emcee will lead singers into energetic performances of “Defying Gravity” or “Dancing Queen.”
On Saturday and Sunday mornings, the show continues with drag renditions of the Great White Way’s most famous hits.
The Broadway Sing-Along Bar will have red carpet photo-ops and scene-setting stage backdrops for the perfect Instagram shot. Costumes are optional, but really getting in character is encouraged.
