Popular nonstop flight from Austin to Toronto poised for upgrade

Nonstop service from Austin to Toronto will get bigger and better in 2018. On November 7, Air Canada announced plans to introduce a larger aircraft and more seats to the popular daily service.
An upgrade to the Embraer EMB-190 means 21 more seats per flight, starting May 1, 2018. There will be nine business class seats and 88 main cabin seats for the route, which has proved popular with business and leisure travelers alike.
Daily nonstop service departs Austin at 5:30 pm, arriving at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport (YYZ) at 9:45 pm. Flights to Austin depart Toronto at 2:30 pm, arriving at ABIA at 4:55 pm.
"Air Canada’s increased commitment to the Austin market is welcome news," said Doug Driskill, chair of the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce’s Air Service Task Force, in a release. "The increased service and additional seats provide more opportunities for job creators in both markets and will encourage more synergy between these two cities that are driving economic activity in North America."
Service from Austin to Mexico City recently underwent a similar upgrade when Aeromexico added 23 seats to its daily nonstop route, including 11 in first class.
