Austin's young professionals get creative at CultureMap Social
Austin’s hippest YPs gathered Thursday night for an evening of drinks, networking and philanthropy at the first CultureMap Social of the year. A sold-out crowd of 150 packed the Contemporary Austin: Laguna Gloria for a casually chic night celebrating the arts.
Attendees were greeted with libations from Ben E. Keith and bites from newly opened Apis Restaurant & Apiary. Spring weather and a picturesque lakeside locale made for the perfect ambience as guests milled throughout the venue and posed for fabulous photos.
DJ uLOVEi spun tunes while attendees visited tables showcasing some of Austin’s most notable art organizations: Art Alliance Austin, Ballet Austin Guild, Big Medium and Creative Action. Creative Action, the local art education organization, won a coveted $5,000 CultureMap advertising package voted on by party guests.
Fun activities rounded out the happy hour. Guests struck a pose at the Cadillac photo booth, made their own statement jewelry courtesy of local jewelry bar Bead It, and enjoyed custom thumbprint portraits from Smudge Studios. On their way out, guests grabbed swag bags courtesy of favorites FOUND Austin and BirdBriefs.
