Moontower Comedy presents Hannah Gadsby: Douglas
Comedian Hannah Gadsby is back on the circuit with her new and mysterious persona, Douglas. After the worldwide acclaim she received from her last show, Nanette, the Australian actor, writer, and humorist is taking her newest character on the road for her first ever U.S. tour. Select tickets for both shows at Paramount Theatre are still available. Performances May 30 and June 1.

Empire Control Room & Garage presents Soul Food
Musical performances, live painting, authentic eats, and more combine at the Empire Control Room & Garage. Created by cancer survivor and COO of Noble Capital Chris Ragland, the all-day event features a variety of activities that nourish the soul. Additional highlights include complimentary food and beverages from Pap Kuma Street Food, and live music by emerging soul-pop trio Charlie Faye & The Fayettes and three-time Grammy nominee Ruthie Foster. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Austin Metamorphosis Dance Ensemble presents Ballet Under the Stars
Enjoy a cultured evening of ballet performed by the Ballet Austin and Ballet San Antonio company dancers under the Texas night sky. This mystical production at Zilker Hillside Theater will feature the music of Ludwig Minkus, who is most notably known for his timeless ballets Don Quixote, La Bayadere, and Paquita. Audiences can also expect original debut works by the Austin Metamorphosis Dance Ensemble. Admission is free.

The Long Center presents All Summer Long: Bubblepalooza
Families and friends alike are invited to pop by The Long Center for an afternoon of lighthearted fun that locals of any age can enjoy. Bubblepalooza is an all-day mashup of music, games, food trucks, and tons of bubbles. This year’s kid-friendly activities include a rock climbing wall, trampolines, foam pits, and chalk art to pique the interest of your kid’s inner artist. Live music performances by artists like Big Wy’s Brass Band and The Saddle Sores (aka Austin's White Ghost Shivers) are certain to keep the good vibes going. Admission is free.
The Garden Club of Austin presents Annual Plant Show
Lush flora and botanicals take center stage at The Garden Club of Austin’s annual Plant Show & Sale. During the two-day event, guests can browse an array of plants for sale by vetted local vendors. Attendees can also snap a photo with Emily, “The Queen Mother” of a species of night blooming cereus, while she’s at her peak. Discover the beautiful Zilker Botanical Gardens and its 2019 Woodland Faerie Trail Exhibition or roam the thyme gardens in full bloom.
