Fun Fun Fun's Extra-Funky Nite
Soul Clap and Dance-Off rolls into Red 7 for a night of groovin' and movin'
The The New York Night Train rolled into Red 7 on Saturday, November 9, with its trademark Soul Clap & Dance-Off, presided over by with former Austinite turned international DJ and Night Train conductor Mr. Jonathan Toubin. Toubin emceed the event and spun soulful sounds with his 45s, stepping aside for part of the evening to let special guest Tony Sylvester of Turbonegro take over the turntables.
Those not exhausted from day two of Fun Fun Fun got sweaty to the sounds of soul while Lee Fields and the Expressions, Brownout, and Latasha Lee and the Blackties played on the outdoor stage.
Warmed up and hitting their stride, contestants participated in a dancing contest for $100 prize. Judging their moves were Stacey Wilhem, DJ Sue, V Marc Fort, Lyman Hardy ​and Jeanine Attaway.
