Introducing Picture This Pet: Meet Kermit, an active young lad looking for a hiking partner
To kick off our "Picture This Pet" series in conjunction with Austin Pets Alive!, we bring you a handsome fella who had a hard-knock start to life but is eager to get into a permanent home. He's spent a lot of time with APA! in training and obedience classes and is currently being nurtured in a foster home. Check out his bio below.
Name: Kermit
Sex: Male
Breed: Terrier, American Staffordshire Collie, Smooth
Weight: 40 pounds
Size: Medium
Sign: Taurus
Age: 3 years, 10 months
Spayed/Neutered: Yes
Adoption Donation: $25
Location: In foster
Surprise fact: Kermit does great with cats.
What APA! says about Kermit:
- He's a softie who likes to curl up on the couch and rest his chin on a friendly lap.
- He'd make a great hiking buddy — he even loves car rides! And he loves playing fetch, tug and working the agility course.
Why APA! says Kermit deserves your love:
- Kermit had a tough start, but he's come a long way. He was a stray and came back to APA emaciated with a bad heart, but with inexpensive daily medications, he's a happy healthy boy.
- He didn't have any training before he came to APA!, but since he's been back, he's completed a basic obedience class, discovered a love of agility and is a star in our TTouch classes.
In summary: If you're an active adult who is looking for a loyal walking, running or hiking partner, you don't have any other dogs, and you enjoy cuddling on the couch — this guy is for you.
