1. New modern American restaurant elevates dining along I-35 in Round Rock. An upscale "modern American" restaurant has taken root in Round Rock. Grey Orchard began its soft opening phase on July 9 at 2700 N. Interstate Hwy. 35.
2. 16 Austin companies declared best places to work by U.S. News. A U.S. News & World Report ranking has named 95 Texas companies among the best companies to work in the South, and 16 of them are based right here in Austin.
3. Upscale Austin sushi spot expands to Dallas and announces local move. Upscale Austin sushi restaurant Neighborhood Sushi has landed in Dallas. The restaurant is also moving its Austin location by a few blocks later this year.
4. Austin Southern restaurant Olamaie to close after 12 years of acclaim. Michelin-starred Austin restaurant Olamaie will close its doors July 19.

5. East Austin Mexican eatery Taqueria Chapala closing after 29 years. Longtime Mexican restaurant Taqueria Chapala is closing its East Austin location this fall, stating that it was not offered a lease renewal.
