Perry to sign sweeping education reform bill into law Monday
KVUE — Governor Rick Perry will sign a sweeping education reform bill into law on Monday.
House Bill 5 slashes the number of required exams from 15 to five.
It also expands the number of career and technology education courses needed to graduate with one of five new endorsements, ranging from arts and humanities to business and industry.
Freshmen in the fall of 2014 will be locked in under the new law.
