Pet of the Week
Meet Bernard the APA! dog celebrating his second chance at life
Just a few weeks ago, Bernard was set to be euthanized. His crime? A bum leg. Lucky for us, APA! swooped in and took him back for a little rehab and a lot of love. With the proper medical treatment, Bernard is feeling much better and ready to find his forever family. Could it be yours?

What APA! says about Bernard:
He is the most lovable dog. All he wants to do is please you.
This boy is so sweet, and always sparks up when it's time to go for a walk. He is a little scared of other dogs barking at him, so ideally he can find a household without dogs — or tested with a current dog to see how they would get along. We wouldn't want him to get too excited and re-injure his leg!
He is vaccinated and heartworm negative! He's ready for a great family to bring him home!
Why APA! says he deserves your love:
"He is an awesome dog that deserves the best," says one APA! employee. He loves treats, loves to play, really enjoys hitting the trails for a walk. Because he had an injured back leg, we have been taking it easy with him, and are looking for someone to adopt — or even foster him — to re-acclimate him to life outside of the kennels.
