Lucky us. Boutique music festival Luck Reunion will return for a second year at Willie Nelson's Hill Country ranch on March 16 during SXSW.
Over 40 artists are on the bill so far, including Conor Oberst, Lukas Nelson, Margo Price, Brent Cobb, Parker Millsap, Aaron Lee Tasjan, Bee Caves, Big Thief, Lillie Mae, Andrew Combs, and, of course, Willie Nelson himself.
The festivities will be held at Luck, Texas, Nelson's Hill Country ranch located just outside of Austin. The Western "town" was originally built for the 1986 film Red Headed Stranger, inspired by Nelson's 1975 album of the same name. In addition to music, Luck Reunion will feature shopping, drinks, and food. Several pop-up shops, unique vendors, and famed Austin food trucks will be onsite throughout the day.
This is the second annual Luck Reunion. In 2016, Luck Reunion replaced Heartbreaker Banquet, a music event previously held at Nelson's ranch during SXSW.
To kick off the fest, a special Chef's Pot Luck will be held on March 15, with proceeds benefiting Wholesome Wave, a nonprofit dedicated to providing fresh food to underserved communities. The evening includes a multi-course dinner prepared by all-star chefs, plus an intimate performance by Nelson and guests; the culinary lineup includes chefs Michel Nischan, Dean Fearing, Bruce Kalman, and David Bancroft as well as local stars Bryce Gilmore, David Bull, Andrew Wiseheart, and Alma Alcocer-Thomas. Tickets, $325 each, go on sale Thursday, February 2.
The first round of passes for Luck Reunion go on sale Saturday, January 21; general admission is $70 per person, and a limited number of VIP tickets will be available for $250-$3,500. Sign up for email alerts via the festival's website.
