ZACH Theatre presents A Night with Janis Joplin
The incredible story of rock 'n' roll legend Janis Joplin blazes onto the Zach Theatre stage, featuring a selection of chart-topping songs from her enduring catalog. Fans of all ages can expect a packed setlist featuring hit songs like “Me and Bobby McGee,” “Mercedes Benz,” and “Summertime.” Tickets to opening weekend shows are still available. Performances through March 8.
Barracuda Austin presents A Down Under Benefit
In the wake of Australia's catastrophic fires, Barracuda Austin is throwing a bash to benefit the Australian Red Cross Bushfire Relief. The evening of nonstop music will include performances by Mobley, Los Coast, Jackie Venson, Walker Lukens, Darkbird, Abram Shook, Teddy Glass, Fanclub, The Blowies, and Christine Renner. Benefit activities include a raffle, screen printing by Fine Southern Gentlemen, a photo booth provided by ANON Magazine, and cupcakes courtesy of Purebread Bakery. Admission is $10 at the door.
PrintAustin presents The Printmaker’s Ball
PrintAustin's whimsical masquerade ball returns to Blue Genie Art Bazaar. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their most creative cocktail attire and sport their most fabulous masks to this festive affair. Attendees can also get a glimpse of the artists and galleries exhibiting during the PrintEXPO. The Printmaker’s Ball will feature live entertainment including a discussion by Art Historian Dr. Karen Pope and a collaborative performance art piece by visual artist Ben Sorrell and dance artist Annelize Machado. Shen Yun
This smash-hit show featuring ancient Chinese performance art and classical dance returns to Austin at the Long Center for the Performing Arts. In 2006, a group of artists collaborated to revive classic Chinese traditions — traditions that are currently banned from being performed in China by the current communist regime. Shen Yun blends classical Chinese dance, colorful costuming, high-tech backdrops, and live orchestra for a breathtaking performance. Performances through February 2.

Austin Humane Society and Yard Bar presents 13th Annual Puppy Bowl
Puppies go head-to-head in a furry and friendly competition at Yard Bar ahead of Super Bowl Sunday.
