Where to Shop
Where to shop in Austin right now: 5 best boutiques for spring staples
It’s the perfect time of year to enjoy brunch on one of Austin's best patios followed by some serious shopping for must-haves of the new season. Recently, after enjoying a post-yoga bite at Hillside Farmacy, I stumbled upon two of my new favorite boutiques in Austin. Filled with interesting finds and unique collections, Olive and Take Heart join our three other must-hit shops for April.
Olive
This cutting-edge boutique offers a variety of styles that range from local artisan pieces to classic wardrobe staples. Owner Laura Uhlir has a sharp eye for what’s new and next in design. Shop Ali Golden day dresses and Samantha Pleet swimwear and jumpsuits as well as Maryam Nassir Zadeh sandals, a favorite of celebrities. And be sure to check out the latest arrival of sunglasses from Dusen Dusen in patterns like horn and malachite. They’re truly incredible.
Take Heart
When it comes to sourcing pottery and one-of-a-kind items, this boutique takes it to an entirely different level. Take Heart has carefully shopped some of the most beautiful vintage, modern and handmade pieces from around the world and artfully placed them in this beautiful store. The store is clean yet cozy and inclines you to update pieces in your home that you didn’t even know needed a refresh. Shop for stoneware, art prints, graphic trays, pouches, vases and more. You won’t be disappointed.
Valentine's Too
This chic boutique is the perfect place to search for those key splurge-worthy pieces your spring wardrobe is begging for. Shop the latest collections from designers like S.E.A. NY, Tibi, Velvet, Milly, Sachin + Babi, Koch Collection, A.L.C. and Equipment. The boutique also has an excellent selection of Assouline books, Fornasetti pieces and even Tom Ford sunglasses.
Mana Culture
If you're short on time but looking for a well-edited selection of jewelry, home décor and clothing items, stop by Mana Culture. The shop specializes in handcrafted pieces from tons of designers — there's an in-house signature collection, too. Mana Culture offers something for every price point, from delicate necklaces under $100 to exotic diamond horn necklaces for $745. We have our eyes on the eye-catching earrings from Austin jewelry designer Suzanna Dai.
Wildflower Organics
Looking for an easy way to update your bedroom for spring? Shop for a new set of sheets, pillows or even a duvet at Wildflower Organics. The store offers bedding collections from luxurious labels like Legna and Bella Notte. Health-conscious individuals can shop a selection of organic mattresses, pillows and excellent options for anyone who suffers from allergies.
